MICRODE CONSULT professionals is comprised of a core team of two principal consultants and a pool of associate consultants, nationally and internationally, who are invited to provide enhanced expertise that may be required by our clients from time to time. This enables MICRODE CONSULT to offer a wide range of services in many countries. The team of consultants has a wealth of technical knowledge and practical expertise in management, situational assessments, policy analysis, projects design, implementation, training and evaluation of development programmes.
Mr. Alfred Ojwang retired as a Principal Director and Principal Consultant in 2023. He has been replaced by Mr. John Wilson Omondi Owiti. Currently the two Directors and Principal consultants are:
Gervase Odiko
Director & Principal Consultant
Mr. Gervase Odiko is an Economist with over 30 years’ experience. He is the Principal Consultant, Small Enterprise Development/Financial Inclusion at MICRODE CONSULT. He started his career as an Economist with the Government of Kenya (GoK) in the Ministry of Planning and National Development where he worked for 11 years. His last posting in the Ministry was as Provincial Planning Officer, Western Province, Kenya. He moved to the NGO sector in 1993 when he joined CARE International in Kenya as the Project Manager for Women’s Economic Development (WED) Project. WED project interventions included identifying women entrepreneurs with “merry-go-round groups” (CBOs where group members collect money to support each other), training them in simple business management and group dynamics. After the training, project linked the women entrepreneur groups to Micro-Finance Institutions (MFIs) where they accessed funds for the expansion of their enterprises. The project worked to empower women in entrepreneurial skills and other social decision making skills. It trained the women participants in governance (holding orderly group meetings, developing group rules and constitution, holding regular elections as per group rules and constitution and keeping records (minutes) of such meetings.
Wilson Omondi Owiti

Dedicated in Project Planning and Management Cycle with experience in various interventions including Financial Inclusion, Livelihood Resilience; Gender, Youth and Social Initiatives; Education, Food Security and Agriculture Value Chain and Natural Resource Management; Community Participation and Development, and Governance. I possess in-depth knowledge of procedures and practices relating to research, with a great ability to supervise teams, improve
workflow, accuracy, and efficiency. I am also a Human Resource Management professional and experienced in the key HR functions including Organizational Policy formulation, Skills Audit, Training and Development Needs Analysis, Development of the Training program, Implementation of a Capacity Building program, Post Training Analysis and Reporting.
