Pre-1988

Foundational Roots

The family-led Hardial Singh & Bros operation established the earliest ties to Kenya’s timber trade, building supplier relationships and reputation for dependable stock and honest dealing. That early work created the skills, supplier networks and customer trust that later formed the foundation for Bhachu Woodproducts.

Company Inception

Founded in 1988 to meet a growing demand for quality timber, Bhachu Wood Products began as a focused supplier of raw and processed wood materials. From the outset the company emphasised quality, reliability and hands-on customer care, quickly attracting builders and contractors across the region.

1990s

Expansion

During the 1990s the business expanded beyond raw timber into finished wood products and components, broadening its catalogue to meet evolving market needs. This shift allowed Bhachu to serve both residential and commercial projects with more complete solutions and strengthened its client base.

2000s

Craftsmanship Growth

In the 2000s Bhachu added bespoke joinery, cabinetry and fit-out services, investing in skilled craftsmen and workshop capability. Delivering tailor-made installations and precise millwork elevated the company’s reputation for craftsmanship and opened opportunities for larger, higher-value projects.

Modernisation

Across the 2010s the company rebranded as Bhachu Woodproducts and introduced modern workshop practices, quality control and project management systems.
