Byron F. Adera – Operations & Training Manager

Byron Adera, is a Pioneer and ex Kenya Special Forces Officer, an International Security and Safety Consultant. He’s also Expert Security Analyst hosted numerously by national and International media outlets, a Trainer, Columnist, Blogger and a YouTuber, speaking on topical societal Issues.

Byron’s professional career started after he graduated from Armed Forces Training College (AFTC), now Kenya Military Academy (KMA) after undergoing Cadet officer training. He commissioned in October, 2006 into the elite Kenya Parachute Regiment as a platoon commander, top among 8 officers in intake (class) 33 of 149 Officer Cadets. Byron later pioneered the Kenya Special Forces, undertaking training with the world’s premier Special Forces, the UK’S 22 SAS. While serving in the unit as a first among the originals, he rose to become the most elite force’s operations officer. Byron participated in several successful operational duties both within and across the borders.

Byron later left the Army in early 2012 to pursue his dreams in the corporate world, starting off as country Operations’ Director of UK’s leading security company, XFOR right at its inception in Kenya. The company was awarded the coveted Security Excellence Award (SEA) for quality and excellence by the end of 2012 having grown to above 1,050 staff by the end of that year.

Byron ventured out in 2014 to pursue a successful career in consultancy and specialist security services provision like Special Operations, Covert/Undercover Operations, Close Protection, Litigathon Support, Business Intelligence & Risk Consulting, Private Investigations among others. He is, beyond being an associate director in 3 well established companies, and a training partner in many organizations like PSTA (under SENACA then), Delight Professional Summits, IPSS, he is also the country spokesman of the Association of Corporate and Industrial Security Management Professionals (ACISMP), Kenya.
