About Us

Restoring Hope.

Empowering Youth.

UjuziNest Foundation is a community-based organisation in Kiambu, Kenya, committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable young people. We work at the intersection of skills development, mental well-being, and sports empowerment, recognising that sustainable livelihoods begin with emotional resilience.

Through practical training, psychosocial support, and sports programmes, we create safe spaces where youth heal, rebuild confidence, and gain the skills needed for sustainable, self-reliant futures.

What We Do

We deliver integrated, community-driven programmes that connect emotional healing with practical opportunities, helping young people recover from trauma, develop essential life and vocational skills, and access pathways to education, employment, and personal growth.

Creative Enterprise Training

We teach practical, income-generating skills such as weaving, knitting, and crafts production, while also providing training in financial literacy, business planning, and marketing. Participants not only create products but learn how to turn their creativity into sustainable micro-enterprises, empowering them to earn a living.

Sports for Resilience

Through structured football and recreational programmes, we build discipline, teamwork, leadership, and emotional resilience. Sports offer young people a safe space to manage stress, develop life skills, and discover potential pathways to professional opportunities, while fostering confidence and peer support that extends beyond the field.

Psychosocial & Mentorship Support

We provide trauma-informed counselling, mentoring, and life-skills coaching to help participants recover from past trauma, strengthen self-esteem, and set personal and professional goals. Our mentorship approach equips young people with the emotional tools needed to overcome challenges and thrive in their communities.

Education Linkages

We work closely with local schools, sponsors, and vocational partners to reconnect school dropouts with learning opportunities, scholarships, and practical career pathways. This ensures that young people have access to quality education, skill-building, and long-term opportunities for growth and independence.

Our Impact

Resilience. Empowerment. Leadership.

At UjuziNest Foundation, impact is measured not only by numbers — but by lives restored, confidence rebuilt, and futures transformed. Our work has created tangible change within families and communities across Kiambu and Nairobi.

100+ young women and men have received vocational training and psychosocial support, building skills and sustainable livelihoods.

Several young footballers from our Sports for Resilience programme have been scouted and recruited into pro and regional clubs.
