AL-ISRA GLOBAL
Bunker fuel is also called bunker oil or bunker fuel. This product is used mainly in ships and big power generators.
The other name of Bunker fuel is called, D6, this is the name used in the USA, and it is also called Residual Fuel Oil due to its viscosity. As the fuel is very heavy and viscous, it requires to be heated for use.
Residual means the material remaining after higher grades of crude have been processed.
Normally this fuel has a high sulfur content and requires some heating and processing to lower the Sulphur content, depending on the buyers specification, this can affect costs.
While bunker oil is literally the bottom of the barrel; in oil distilling, the only things denser than bunker fuel are carbon black feedstock and bituminous residue (asphalt), which is used for paving roads and sealing roofs.
